Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge, By G.H.Osang. Dresden.

Badge is in excellent condition in zinc. The Luftwaffe Paratrooper Badge was instituted by Hermann Goring on November 5,1936.It is a qualification Badge that was awarded for those who successfully passed the tests to become a Paratrooper. In order to do that, a soldier had to have six confirmed parachute jumps to his name. Paratrooper Badges by Osang are not very common. The company start production of the Badges only during the mid to late war,with material shortages by 1942 all known Osang Paratrooper Badges were made of zinc. Very nice example,weighs 32.7 gr. 42.75mm.(w) × 54.10mm(h).
